Mark started Overseas Motor Works Inc. in 1979, in center city Philadelphia to service Imports. After repeated requests from his service customers, he began to locate replacement cars for them. This put him in contact with many dealers and automobile auctions including the Manheim Auto Auction in Manheim PA, (Lancaster County). When Mark began attending the Manheim Auto Auction weekly in 1988 they had an average of 1800 cars registered every Friday, today, they have over 9000 cars, trucks, and sport utilities every Friday and an additional 5000 "highline" vehicles every other Thursday. Although the Manheim Auto Auction group has grown to over 130 auctions handling over 5 million vehicles a year we are fortunate to have the biggest and the best right here in Manheim. Our sales have pretty closely paralled the auctions as we have gone from selling ten cars a month in 1990 to 200 a month today. Our Auction Management division sells another 200 each month for dealer clients. Unfortunately the retail customer got left behind as the sales business became almost exclusively a wholesale, or dealer-to-dealer only business. This is why we moved the sales business to Manheim, PA in 1998 and Overseas Motor Works Inc began doing business as "Manheim Imports". In 2006 we acquired one of the best retail facilities in the area to better serve our customers. Carlos DaSilva continues to operate Overseas Motor Works in Philadelphia for import service, and repair.
Jeff Ludwig Growing up in Manheim Jeff originally tried to resist the automobie business. The problem was he liked cars too much. He joined Manheim Imports in 1998 when all we did was wholesale sales. Shortly afterwards he got his SCCA license and promptly bought a racecar. Fortunately for us he got married soon after and the racecar slowly gave way to his three sons. His primarily responsibility has changed over the years from wholesale sales and servicing our dealer customers to his current position as the retail sales manager. Joe Moore Joe comes from a family that has been in the automobile business for three generations. Both his grandfather & father were new car dealers. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Joe worked for his father's VW, Porsche & Audi dealership in Philadelphia for 25 years before starting his own European high end repair & used car business with friend J Winsor in Bryn Mawr, PA. This business continues to operate as J & J Motors. Joe joined Manheim Imports in May 2003. His emphasis, as it has been for over 35 years will be personal service and retail sales.
Bruce Wagner Bruce is a 30 year veteran of the car business. Among his accomplishments, he assisted in developing the first “F&I” department in Lancaster County. He spent 15 years as a wholesale automobile dealer, before returning to the retail management side of the new car business, where he came to appreciate the value in pre-owned vehicles. He is also GM "Master Certified". His interests include cars, trucks, and especially motorcycles. He likes anything competitive once staying up to 2:00 am to watch “The 700 Club” thinking it was a bowling show (fortunately he knows cars better then bowling). While it is true he would rather be selling his beloved Harleys he enjoys being part of the team at Manheim Imports. Bruce states: "In my 32+ years in the car business I have never "sold a car", instead I made many friends!"

Luke grew up in the car business. He was three years old the first time he got grease under his nails. Although a 2008 Finance major graduate of Penn State he has been working in all facets of the business since he was twelve. Seeing our Import car service center in Philadelphia named "Best of Philadelphia" 4 times, while growing up, he quickly learned that our roots are customer service. His current role is to assist whatever department needs immediate help, whether wholesale or retail sales, internet marketing, or back office operations.
